Hi Friends,

Is it okay to work with deities but not angels or spirit guides?

Sorry, I do not mean to be disrespectful or hurt anyone's feelings with the above statement.

I came from an Eastern faith so I am quite familiar with deities form an young age.

I have started learning about angels and spirit guides around 1.5 years ago.

I have been trying to connect to angels and spirit guides. But somehow, I feel more comfortable connecting to deities.

Please do not mistake me, I am not only connecting with deities from my Eastern faith, but also Greek deities, Norse deities, Taoist deities etc. Somehow, I feel more comfortable connecting to deities. I don't really feel that personal connection when trying to connect to angels or spirit guides.

Is it alright if I just focus only on connecting with deities?

I just feel like I might be missing a lot in my spiritual life if I never connect to angels or spirit guides though. Will I be missing out?

I apologize once again if I am disrespectful or hurt anyone's feelings.

It is OK to work with any spiritual guidance of your choosing.

No one has an exclusive on authorized spiritual guidance.

Note to be careful: some of the beings posing as helpers are not. Make sure the being you are interacting with is the one you actually have chosen, not just a being pretending to be them.

If you don't work with every helper or guide, you will be missing out in a sense. I am sure you are not working with all the deities, so in a sense you are missing out. Missing out is not important, what is important is that you find enough helpers to provide you what you need on your spiritual journey. Any more than that is just a distraction.

There is no right or wrong. Do what you feel is right for you. There is nothing wrong with connecting with deities. It does not matter as the outcome is the same. People think differently and do different things according to their beliefs.

If you were in the position of connecting to some being and you get another being, like some being pretending to be the being you asked for, then what do you do? Is there a way for you to reconnect to the one you wanted or to deal with the situation?

Been stuck on this for a while.

Most people work with only one angel or one spirit guide and not in groups. Now this brings up an interesting question. How can a person be missing out if the message is the same even from different spirits or is it each spirit have different messages, though guidance and message are unique to the person and have to be thought about. We normally think different then spirits to. Isn't it we who get stuck. What I understand people don't communicate engaging with other entities, more then one anyway. Keep in mind then we don't work with deities and don't need to. We're the same in this regard. Working through only one not working what the other works with. So are they missing anything? Now we just don't work with other beings, you can't anyway, it's impossible. It is about understand the message.

You are not forced to work or not work with any spiritual entity. But if you ask any of them, I'm sure they'd be delighted to work with you.

The interesting thing about say the greek gods and stuff like that is they actually do exist, fabricated from mass human belief. They are not real but they do exist. So you can play around with them if you want as long as you realize it's just for fun, not real spiritual advancement. I personally like Odin a lot, He is insane due to being worshiped by berserkers, I love it.

When a guide, spirit or deity speaks to me, I always test the words against:

1) Is it inline with whom I am as a person. Is the guidance out of character for me?

2) Are the words inline with absolute Universal love?

3) Is the advice spiritual gain or ego gain?


Those can differentiate between an appearance of Love and Light or darkness cloaked in light.
