That would be an example of the very misleading of ignorant identification - a misidentification, whether conscious or unconscious - which is to say: a specious substitution of that which by nature is false, for the purpose of discrediting, diverting, and disparaging the legitimate manifestation.

Spirituality is the conscious evolution of truth in the physical that is guided by the truth itself.
How could truth be misleading?

Can you provide an example?

For example, can "time" stop for some people?

BigJohn,

Caveat emptor.....:)!!! Actually one is hampered in their growth not by questionable beliefs but, rather, by their own acceptance of questionable beliefs. We are exposed to many beliefs......it is our responsibility to discern their validity.

Easy said...................

I proposed a question which can easily put this question to rest. The simple question is

"For example, can "time" stop for some people?"

The nature of form is that it is governed by linear time. How we experience time may vary. We have probably all read accounts of people in accidents where suddenly everything moves in slow motion, and we may have experienced this ourselves.

The nature of formlessness is that there is no time. There is only the present moment, the eternal NOW.

When we shift our identification from form to formlessness while still functioning in the worlds of form then we experience both time and no time. We rest in the state of no time while acting in the world of linear time.

Peace

Hi Big John,

I think the title "misled by spirituality" is nothing but, misleading as, it is not spirituality that misleads but, persons involved in spirituality, usually presenting themselves as knowing it all teachers and masters.

I really don't think that this is a safe environment based on the overall commentators and context of comments for any sensible , logical, normal person to come forward and talk about any and all of their experiences in regards to "misleading" in this thread so, they will most possibly, butchered and buttered some more.

If the norm and usual was not abuse but respect of others then, maybe some may have come forward but, since this is not the norm and usual , I don't think anyone will come forward especially because of the misleading title "misled by spirituality.

Sorry, if you don't like what I'm saying.

INTERESTING POINTS!

We had a thread not too long ago dealing with time
speeding up. The consistence of those participating was time is speeding up. Now, if a person
accepted that hypothesis and made changes in their life based upon that hypothesis, how
would that person feel if they find out that this hypothesis was wrong?
