So I'm back early from the Olympics .
Naturally , with me being an Olympian they wanted me to carry the torch.
Well how can you refuse ?
So I went. But goodness me, talk about chaos.
The channel tunnel was gridlocked , as were the ferries and the planes, so I I had no choice but to swim the channel ( my triathlon training came in handy after all ).
But when I got there soaked through I was greeted with torrential rain and the flame kept going out....
Hey ho.... Just another day in the life of me !!!!

But, aside from my own personnal traumas , I have LOTS to talk about , because these last few days have been AMAZING !

I'd like to start by talking about the gymnastics.
Wow. How fabulous are they ?
Americas Simone Biles is the sweetheart of the last few years.

In "my day" the darling that shone for several years was Olga Korbut. She will always remain in my "Olympic memorybank".
Oh... And the "man of the moment" in my day was Aleksandr Dityatin.....
Oh my... And he was amazing . I think he got 7 or 8 medals in one day, and YES I DID fall in love with him .
He was gorgeous , and it's his birthday today , so "Happy Birthday Alek " ( even though you broke my heart LOL..)

I think the man of the moment in these gymnastics is little 20 year old Oka Shinnosuke.
He has been amazing and I think we all took him to our hearts .

But I've got to shout out for Filipino Carlos Yulo who earned 2 gold medals on floor and vault , and I'm thrilled to bits , cos as you will all know my daughter in law is fillipino abd ger and my son and their children live over there so maybe I'm a bit biased .
But it was great .
He has been given a furnished house with land for his achievements for his nation.

But otherwise , apart from every part of the gymnastics being brilliant , how on earth do the men do those ring exercises ?????????
It does not seem humanly possible !

Podshell...
I've seen about 90% of the Olympics.
Hockey is ond of my least favourites but I'm watching it now as I speak.
Women , Netherlands / Argentina in semis.
