Hey Songbird,

The Native people use plants and herbs in their Healing but because of buildings going up on the lands, they loose their plants , they use chant and drums and so fort as has already been said here,

hello songbirds x x x x
different nations had slightly different healing ways ie... navajo used sand paintings (along with other things) apache nation used crystals, plains people used herbs and prayers along with spirit people (either two legged spirits or animal spirits) although they all go deeper than that in reality.
plants that were about back before the whites landed no longer exist,
and a lot of the methods written about now are not the original ways of healing.
the only true way to learn of traditional turtle island healing is through healing guides.
also the ground that the turtle island people used to walk upon is now tainted with unclean energy , not pure like it used to be.
a lot of holy men /medicine used to set their dwellings up on ley lines as they know draw upon the energy x x x x
not sure if that will help or confuse you

it depends on what kind of native healing you are intersted in, different nations have different ways of healing.
some of the people of arizona way used crystals single points, and it was always better to be given a healing crystal then find your own. others used sand paintings and chants. while plains people used herbs , this was along with sacred prayers and other spiritual rites x x x x
prayer and cleansing .some nations would powder sage up and spread over the entire body to cleans. other wpould burn it and smudge your body with a feathered wing x x x x
this is just touching on the surface of it all
if you have a native past life or native healing spirit guides then you have a start x x x x
hope it helps
b ut you will find if you are fortunate to follow that pathway healing is so simple and pure , just complicated to undestand as it different to anything we have been taught
love and light

Yeah i do, but it's really bordering a line of breaking sacred laws and me seriously breaking a major law because i'm only a "youngster and am so not a medicine barer", if you really desire to learn, you would have to find a real native elder, perhaps a medicine barer, because "spiritual healing", is our sacred traditions, and those are not written down anywhere. You can find bits and pieces here and there, be careful what you read though if you do find anything probably not correct, the real practices, are secret. And I am sure, an elder would be delighted to teach you in person! All my elders, quite enjoy when someone expresses the desire to learn.

I'll second that one, good reply Ciaqala. If you want to find a Medicine Barer or Carrier, you have to look for us away from the internet and off beaten track. Were usually off the main road and up the side street! (Joke.)

Basically we don't advertise the fact of who we are and yes we can live anywhere in the world; I for instance now live in Europe, as do quite a few other's that I know. But were not the one's with the flashy websites, were just everyday people who carry and quietly work with our traditional teachings and live normal quiet lives and hold down normal everyday jobs.

You can find us if you look hard and are meant to and if asked were usually happy to help if we can. It's not about money to us as this path is our life and we live it. I for instance will only respectfully take a traditional payment if I decide to work for or with someone. But that you would have to talk to about with whoever you find to help you. We also never tend to look for this kind of work, it always comes to us.

If you truly want to learn then smudge, pray and ask that you'll be taken to the person who will help you, and be prepared that it’s a long trail to walk and isn’t always easy.

The Native people use herbs to heal along with the rattle drum etc, and its classsed as poor practise to ask them about it,
today the healers will not tell you that they are healers and not tell you what herbs they use,
there are some who still follow the old ways, but they will not tell you.
all native people have their own traditions so how they heal will also vary,
it still goes on, but you would be very lucky to witness it being done.
everything is sacred to the Native people so how they heal will be secret to them
