Yes - The Moody Blues is called "prog rock" (progressive rock). They were at their height when I was in my teens, so I shared their influence/journey.

I often listen to The Moody Blues, partly for nostalgia sake -- my parents had a few of their albums and the rock station I grew up listening to would play them often -- and partly just because I dig their lyrics and "dramatic" music ;)

I think there's more to them than most people realize but you could say that about a lot of bands where people only know the "hits." Kansas and Yes also have strong spiritual elements to their music. So does Todd Rundgren. But you might not know this unless you dig deeper into the music and listen to more than just the songs from the radio.
