Yes, discard gurus and teachers with the rest of the junk and keep throwing away until there is nothing left. Better off learning from the wisdom of friends and doing hard things like being honest and looking after the kids and stuff .

Yes, there is no-one who has realised the truth, and no one ever will. The ones that have know this .

Why oblivion?. Well, only if you love it I guess, if oblivions for you then go for it. Maybe you'll be the first one there. Never heard of anyone whom wanted to go to oblivion before, your deffos the very first.
Good on you for wanting something different.

That statement could either be very very profound ... or ... a self-limiting indication .... or ... anything in between.

"Nothing left" ... except that uncontrollable "gagging" reaction.
Sometimes, a really objective perspective might be helpful.

In which case do not these friends with their wisdom become our teachers?
Why differentiate between the wisdom of gurus and teachers and the wisdom of our friends?
It is possible to learn from the wisdom of gurus and teachers without feeling any need to become their disciples.

Just curious Gem, when you attend your * deleted* Retreats is it not organised by Teachers, there's certainly lots of Rules/Regulations laid down by someone in authority........ *deleted* is always described as a Burmese-Indian Teacher of Vipassana Meditation.
