What are the scientific implications for feelings of oneness? What happens scientifically when this happens?

What do you mean by scientific?

Perhaps there are changes in the physical brain which can be measured, but I would suggest that any such changes are an effect of the realisation of oneness and not the cause of the realisation of oneness.

We may consider Yogis as scientists of Consciousness, exploring the subtle energies and energy centres of the human body and the more subtle bodies. In the philosophy of Yoga there are very real reasons why the realisation of oneness occurs, but this is beyond science in its current state.

Quantum physics has many answers.
Since we are 99.9999% empty space...it can start the process of opening to the experience of Oneness...

The brain is 'scientifically ' capable of storing 3 million years of information, so, I think we can 'scientifically'
figure out or measure on our primitive little needles how it can exp Oneness, too...or at least
what it looks like when it does...in a CT Scan or MRI. Right?

fMRI and EEG measure aspects of the brain's functioning and that correlates to mind but that's about it. It's an objective measurement, and a feeling (I'd calll it "knowing") of Oneness - I assume that's Enlightenment or at minimum an Awakening - is pure (the purest!) subjective experience. Qualia. The Hard Problem of Consciousness.

Science investigates the effable and not the ineffable. In other words if science has something to say about something then it's not It.

Spirituality is an experience like beauty,taste ,smell,melody etc. Science rightly does not try to quantify it. All it can do is compare n rank it. If science looks Spirituality thro this experiential angle,it's very easy.

Further another aspect of science is axioms , principles n cause effect analysis. Spirituality has it already. So Spirituality too is science.

Already many scientists have accepted pantheism. Pantheism proves oneness very easily.so science already accept it.Only that it's rules are still being debated.

It is also different that people still need corroboration from billionaire cos,powerful politicians, famed celebrities to consider is scientific.

This is an interesting question. We can certainly make wild conjectures about the rational foundation of the spiritual feeling of oneness.The One, the entity behind the feeling of oneness, is supposed to be the object X that has the property that X = Y for every object Y in the universe. Now a modern human mind sees many different objects in the universe and uses transitivity of equality (a = b and b = c implies a = c) as a logical axiom. So it can not perceive the One, even as a purely logical entity. However the One is a very natural object in any logical system that does not use transitivity of equality as an axiom. It's possible that these systems were widely used by our pre historic ancestors, and although we have forgotten all about them, the objects and the feelings associated to these systems still live in our minds.

'Oneness' is the condition of the All. The All, also known as the cosmos, is the place where you and I and the smallest leaf on the tree and the most minute particle of energy are rooted.

We didn't come into this world, we came out of it like a flower grows out of the soil.

It (this oneness) is all encompassing while allowing trillions of individual ideas and imaginations to project themselves into this moment and place we call reality.

There is only the present moment - everywhere.

I was twenty years old when this was 'revealed' to me and I have never forgotten.
