From what I have observed, and been guilty of many times, is that inclination to make false assumptions. I suspect this is a habit more than a law.

I assume all I need or want will be provided...But I would call that
the Principle (or Power) of Expectation...lol...if I were to call it anything.
Is it anything like that?
'You expect something and it happens or is provided'?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Hello Aquarisun,

Allow me to introduce a treasure trove of information from an excellent source of Neville Goddard here:

https://www.manifestingwithsylviane....ville-goddard/ as explained by Sylviane. She provides a good synopsis of what you've requested.

But NOTHING beats the treasure where she gets her information from in this archive of Neville Goddard's lectures (you're gonna love this archive)!

Watch what happens when you type in the word "assumption" in the block right next to the one that says "match all words" here:

https://www.realneville.com/text_archive.htm

But here is my own personal experience with WHY the Law of Attraction should be called the Law of Assumption:

Have fun, fun, fun!!

I agree with Miss Hepburn in that you get what you expect (be it positive or negative). Expectations are like beliefs which can be very deep-seated, or very keenly-felt, and these will manifest if enough energy is given over to them. I think it would be good if we all got into the habit of expecting more, and expecting the best to manifest. Maybe that could be a New Year’s resolution.

Just my view but it equates to a 'law of arrogance' - just expecting, particularly of someone, or others collectively to provide for one without considering what effort or cost they might put into providing it.

When it comes to assumptions of the behaviour or beneficence of others it can lead to acute disappointment.
I don't know how many times I've read or heard "But I assumed you'd do...." (whatever), when the addressee doesn't act as hoped.

For me it's too self-centred, too "the world owes me a living."

As Penn says in Seagal's Under Siege 2: "Assumption is the mother of all --------!"

Jesus is the best teacher of the Law of Assumption. He said: "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

What he means is that you should assume that you are getting the things that you pray (or work) for and it will be given to you. One possible caveat is that if you dont deserve it AT ALL, then you wont get it no matter how much you assume that you will get it.

I am familiar with the law of assumption. To me it is very similar, if not the same, as the law of attraction. Just a different flavor as we are all individual and unique in how we work with energies and create.

I don't follow assumption too closely, but I do fall asleep in a good feeling place, or in the feeling that I desire (happiness, success, peace, etc.).

And I got that from Neville. I find it makes it much easier to stay positive each day when I prime my brain with good vibes while I try to fall asleep.

Then I start the next morning by thinking additional positive thoughts to get the day on the right foot.
