I had a gf 25+ years ago that smoked and have known a few others now out on the astral plain that smoked so I guess it could be one of them . I don't smell it if I have a mask on or in the shower , so yeah that's a bit strange.

My Grandad smoked. He died when I was 12 years old.

No one else in my family smoked but for many years after his death I would smell cigarette smoke in the family house which he never visited.

Weird side fact, my daughter was eating green sprouts in the house a few days ago, when I walked into the room she was in the entire room smelled of tobacco.

Now I notice it anytime someone eats sprouts, they must contain something which smells like tobacco when crushed. My sister eats them quite frequently and told me she noticed the same thing when she eats them haha...

“Olfactory hallucinations” were the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post. Which basically means you’re smelling an odor that isn’t really there. It’s like a dysfunction in the olfactory bulb. It’s seems to be a side effect of COVID-19, so...I’m pretty sure you’re right there.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing that, btw. It’s sounds strange.

Elfin seems to have a similar issue, but I think she’s experiencing parosmia, which is also a side effect of COVID. I guess it’s more evidence that you likely had it right, Elfin.

I think saline rinses could help both of you. I hope that each of your conditions improve. Good luck, you guys! 🍀

Interestingly, tobacco (RedEmbers) is a major trigger for parosmia. And so is coffee. Do you drink a lot of coffee, Elfin???

What do you think about zinc? Worth a try?
I have told a friend for decades to take zinc cuz he doesn't smell much.
Now they relate it to helping you thru Covid!

I smell faint smoke . Like a neighbor was smoking in their yard. Considering people have gotten more ill and have died from this I consider myself lucky . I think the smoke will go away over time.

....It will only go away if it's real !!!!.....However, if it's a message from spirit from a loved one , it won't go away, as they always want you to know they are there ... And they do that why ?... Because you are loved and they want you to know. ... I am pleased you are lucky that you won't "succumb" to end of life through the effects of smoking. And I'm being genuine here, in really am.... Because that is the very thing that I'm dying from LOL... Not to worry.... As I always say In broad Yorkshire "summats got to get you"....
