Exclamation The Revenant

The Revenant with Di Caprio -- At the end of the trailer I just watched, all I could say, was wow...wow...wow.

Looks my an answer to a prayer for a great action flick, that is also based on true events.

Worth watching! I saw it and is a great movie. The type of movie that you can't get your eyes of it not even for a second. Leonardo DiCaprio's acting is extraordinary.

I've been wanting to see this since I saw the trailer a couple of months ago, but I've been reading some negative things about it lately, so it's good to read some strong opinions here.

I wanted to see that last night, at least I think it was playing but the bf wanted to see Star Wars...and then neither of us particularly liked it. I told him my treat for The Revenant. Can't wait to see it.

I wasn't going to see it because of all the suffering and wounds.
BUT, on another forum so many have said it is so visually
beautiful, filmed in Canada...and, oh well, after a bear attack there's
going to be blood...
so I will toughen up.
But, darn, the roads are so icy here for awhile...jacked knifed semis...
it won't be for awhile.

Just got back: The movie is better than Star Wars. On the negative side, The Revenant is like any SyFy Channel dark Zombie movie. Di Caprio, becomes a Zombie like man right out a SyFy Channel Zombie Move. He spends most of the movie crawling on his belly like a snake for many miles in the snow. Hacking, dicing and slicing, and chopping is way through one frozen scene after another. He put in more miles on his belly than any ordinary self respecting snake could.

The acting is very good, and there not much dialog through most of the movie. It has a well developed story line, that is much better than the weak story line in Star Wars. There was not one Droid to be seen in this entire movie. The Revenant nature scenes are all dark and drizzly, but spectacular. I recommend this movie for a Star Wars alternative.

Intense but I enjoyed it very much. Some of the scenes are pretty graphic in both sound and visual, I found myself struggling through some aspects in being able to stay present with it, but overall the scenery and acting is wonderful, as Thunder bow shared there isn't much dialogue, but it allows you look at those layers that Gem mentioned more deeply even so..
