What is the meaning of life?

I just thought I'd raise the Question here and study the replies.

Nothing, there is no meaning in life. Otherwise 5 million jews wouldn't have found their end in the gas chambers.

Too terrible a crime to even comprehend. Dreadful beyond words. I have a famous ancestor who was a nurse in the first world war and helped the allies. She was caught and shot.

That's exactly my point why there is no meaning in life.

Trust me , I know how hard this is . There are such terrible crimes that have been/are being/ and will be. And all of us at some point find it all too much to cope with/ to understand / to accept.. I wish I could give you an answer. But I can't. You are to be commended on your empathy towards human suffering. It obviously preys heavy enough for you to question everything, and rightly so. When anything in life doesn't "sit" right with us we need to question that. Many people don't actually care / consider/ give a t**s about anything except how they are living their day.

I thought it was 6 million.

Anyway, have you ever heard of Victor Frankl
” Victor Emil Frankl (1905 – 1997), Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor, devoted his life to studying, understanding and promoting “meaning.” His famous book, Man’s Search for Meaning, tells the story of how he survived the Holocaust by finding personal meaning in the experience, which gave him the will to live through it.

I also recall hearing a story of a survivor who insisted that she did not hate the Nazis. After living through so much horror and hatred, she claimed she had lost the ability to hold hatred inside and wanted no part of it.

Of course this is just a couple of accounts, but relevant to your point I think.
And just because baby yoda loves you, on his behalf, I am going to share this Game of Thrones clip with you. It is one of my favorites, and it is relevant to this thread... in light of your post anyway.... I think so.

I believe life , existence is infinite and we chose to experience it as part of our journey.

That is to be able to say "if I could die at this very moment, nothing would ever change the joy and bliss I am feeling".
