Why do you want to be wiccan? I am not wiccan, I know very little about it. I am just curious.

I started reading about Wicca and love nature and wanted to meet like minded people. I have always been curious about life.
I like your quote :)

Both are really good authors, however I find Buckland tends to lean his heavily towards coven work. Cunningham writes more about solitary wicca but is rather outdated due to the time the books were written (though they are worth reading for laying the groundwork and understanding of wicca)
If you're looking at being solitary in your practice I would recommend The Real Witches Handbook by Kate West and both books by Rae Beth, The Hedge Witch and The Hedge Witch's Way. Both authors follow the wiccan beliefs but the books are written from a solitary perspective.

Hahaha, thanks. I love nature too. Also very curious about life. Asking questions picking knowledge here and there.

I know a fair amount about it. There's Wicca and there's wicca. Wicca is an initiatory religion. Lower case wicca seems to be the fluff bunny stuff like Cunningham and Silver Ravenwolf.
Most will attest to it being a harm none path, but if people are doing spells for material gain, it's not very spiritual. It's a lot like the Law of Attraction. Materialism with the veneer of spirituality.
And I bristle a bit at the nature worship because nature will kill you and not lose any sleep over it.
If you are going to explore a magical path, I think High Magick is far superior. It's a path that requires you to work on yourself and connect with the Divine. It's not about burning the right color candle to draw money to yourself.

A bit more to say on the initiatory Wicca and also Thelema.
I feel like they put too much emphasis on sex.
It's all about the "Great Work," union of opposites, sex magick.
Honestly, I think it's about trying to spiritualize what is in essence, material.
Not being a prude, and not saying that sex couldn't have a spiritual component...just saying that if it's the main focus of your path...it might just be a little out of balance.

Any book by Christopher Penczak. His Inner Temple series are the best you can find for a devoted study. I took a break for a while but am starting today again from scratch.
