I believe that we are here, now, to evolve (somehow). This evolvement happens anyway, and in an eternal and infinite universe there's plenty of time and room. But not knowing what the curriculum is, and getting engrossed in this trance we call life on Earth, are quite counterproductive. And that's a pity.

there's really nowhere i'm arguing towards on this subject - it's a very big question mark - metaphysics is easier ... :-)

yes i agree, lets hope there's plenty of time and room for humans to do it - and not too much suffering on the way.

Absolutely. I love walking and go about three times a day. About once a month, I make a day of it and go and explore all of the areas around me (I’m lucky, as London has so many interesting suburbs and urban villages). I also tend to walk most places when on holiday, instead of getting public transport. If I don’t have a walk each day, I feel out of sorts.

I'm trying to walk an hour a half in the morning and same around sunset so three hours a day. One hour walking is around 3 miles so I am walking 9 miles a day!

I feel walking is very important for physical and mental health. While walking I try to be in the moment and let go of cares and worries.

I live in a city. Walking would be better on a beach or in a forest. I probably walk by 300 parked cars everyday. Still trees and plants and flowers to look at, but they are just what people put in their yards.

Same problem. The option I have is to walk on the sidewalks, which are often occupied by parked cars, also often they ride bicycles on the sidewalks. So, no relaxing surrounding.

I understand, but there has to be a park somewhere in the vicinity.
It takes me 300 m to get to the creek, and there is a bike and running track.

After 3 km I can enter a park, or retarding basin, where people walk, take their dogs and let them roam and swim. The track in there is 2.5 km, and then I walk back.

If I went the other way on the bike track, it is almost endless, depending on the direction one would take down the track.
Sometimes we need to look around and see, what is available.

I love walking, and am always out strolling around somewhere. I have three parks near to my home and often go to them, or the biggest municipal one in my home town. I also love walking and exploring when I travel (which is a lot) and find that this is one of the best ways of relaying to a place. Be at street level, experiencing what is going on: you gain so much more that way.

I was in Las Vegas recently and walked the 'strip', each way. That was from Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere and back again. I probably walked 12-15 miles. I did a lot of sightseeing on the way. I went beyond the Stratosphere to a McDonald's to eat and when I got back to the Mandalay Bay, I was going to cross the Strip and walk a little bit further to another McDonalds.

I almost got lost in the MGM Casino and ended up going around in circles near the New York, New York casino.

I also like to have a walk at night before I go to bed, as I find that this burns off my dinner (so it’s not digesting in me when I’m asleep) and sends blood to the muscles to relax them.
