Affirmations, how to get best results?
I was wondering, what is the best timing for using Affirmations?
I read somewhere that you should go over an affirmation for 2 minutes at a time each day, and it's good to use about 2-3 affirmations.
To be more specific;
- If there a specific time of the day that affirmations work best, such as just before you go to sleep to give it time to sink into the mind, or in the mornings to start our daily rituals?
- They say 2-3 affirmations, should these be done together in periods of 2 minutes, or spread those 2 minute sessions throughout the day? Or in regards to my previous question, the main/more 'important'/preferred affirmation at that specific time and the other at a different time?
Thanks,
Howie

I have never considered doing them routinely but every morning sounds like a good idea. Making a few minutes each morning would create a nice start to the day.

Constantly affirming, whenever you find yourself thinking of the subject is what has worked for me.Then give it time and space to come into being. Many times I have already forgotten about something and then it materialises.
Cheers .

Thanks for your replies.
What do you think of these affirmations:
"I have the courage to be myself at all times, in all places and around all people. No matter how weirdly a stranger or a friend looks at me for being myself, I will not deprive the world of the presence of myself."
"My mind is calm and clear, and each morning I wake up with refreshing clarity."

I try to keep mine short andsweet. "my mind is peaceful and quiet", "I am a healthy and vibrant being" and so on. I use affirmations in the morning and throughout the day as needed. Sometimes you catch yourself with thoughts that are negative, this is a good time to notice them and replace them with more positive thoughts. After time your brain starts to get it and you begin to feel it.

Affirmations, how to get best results?
Timing is probably the least important element in success with affirmations, and you can work out what's best for you.
The most important parts are:
* Feeling the affirming phrase, thought and image... as well as thinking, writing, reading and speaking it.
* Releasing any negativity - disbelief or fear or sense of unworthiness - to make room for the new energy.
* Giving yourself fully into it... with whole hearted enthusiasm.

In the Law of Attraction book I read, it says once your body starts 'feeling' the emotion that you want to experience from the affirmation, than you really begin to pull your desires to you. So I guess it is how strongly you feel about what you are saying, which can take awhile i think.
I like your affirmations! I think the 1st one would help a lot of people, including me

Thank you :)
They would both help me greatly, I think too much, and I've noticed my "identity" change on occasion based on my 'situation'.

Repetition is the agent of success. Aim for 1000 repetitions of an affirmation a day for 100 days, and then the thought gets registered subliminally. Sounds like a lot, but we think around 100’000 thoughts a day, and lots of them could be negative. Thinking 1000 positive ones a day is very powerful, because it registers them deeply into your mind (which is what a belief eventually is)
What you could do is to break them up, and do them in spurts of 100 throughout the day. This way, negative thinking doesn’t get the chance to gain a foothold in your daily thinking, because you will always have another affirmation ‘cluster’ coming up.
