No?
Sure...that can be an issue. The person has guilt and shame, sure.
If a person has fear of the paranormal that's one thing (ghosts and all)...
but a fear of a loving Father and Spiritual Creator that adores us?
Why?
Probably cuz of the Old Testament image of a wrathful, punishing God.
Is that the case for you or people you know?
My cousin is scared to talk to God...so I do know the issue.
Many ex-Catholics can't stand the thought of God...gosh, what brainwashing some have had!
Some Baptists, too...the Hell and Brimstone preachers can get to ya!

Fear of God especially. Thanks for clarifying. I assumed that God was part of the paranormal.

Do you know people that the fear of God is the primary issue?
I still do.

I knew you would say that (about the superlative) but I was too late to edit my post lol. I meant:

Religious people generally fear God.

(Don't use superlatives! One of the killers of relationships.)

I am reminded here of Marianne Williamson's quote:-

'Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here. The spiritual journey is relinquishment or unlearning of fear and acceptance of love back into our hearts."

Bliss doesn't care what emotions are running with it. love is not necessarily bliss because it has requirements. marianne i doubt has any idea about divine love(bliss). divine love is causeless, endless, and non dual. opening up to it can be a bit tricky.

in that trickyness of opening up to it the mind comes to various reasons to make sense of things.

to be clear i said doubt. i don't know.
