What would we be in next life?

Hi,

Are there chances that anyone's next life will be anything but human again? If so, are there chances that we can be a fish, an ant, or a frog or other animals that have 0 to very low intellectual capacity?

My personal belief based on years of study is that the human kingdom and the animal kingdom are completely separate. Once we have evolved to the human kingdom we cannot go backwards into the animal kingdom.

This is partly based on the nature of a human being in terms of our bodies or vehicles. We have a physical body, etheric (energy) body, emotional body, mental body, plus higher spiritual vehicles for the expression of self-aware Soul consciousness. An animal has a physical body, a limited emotional body and a rudimentary mental body. Soul consciousness would not chose incarnation in animal form because such forms are too limited for any kind of Soul expression.

Peace

You can decide what you're going to do in the next life, and what group you want to incarnate with.

Just make sure you have at least one incarnate witness when you do so, preferably from the soul group you choose to join. Contracts made where one party is incarnate and one party is discarnate, or when both parties are discarnate are not actually possible.

The Tibetan Book of the Dead makes it quite clear. After death processes require one's whole attention to be able to avoid being reborn as an animal.

Buddha was re-birth numerous times as an animal. One of his famous re-births was when he was a monkey.

There are a lot of different school of 'thoughts' on this subject.

Today, there are a lot of Western Buddhists that believe the current Buddha was not a monkey.
