Equipoised (a digital art piece)

♎+♈=

It's funny. I've always thought astrology was complete tripe. But, as it turns out, I'm the poster-child of my sun and moon amalgam—diametrically opposed, elementally volatile cardinal signs of Air and Fire.

This was completely experimental and started as an idle iPad flow of unconsciousness. Not until its culmination did I realize the piece in full.

Yes, very neat work Envolucris. Great draughtsmanship, as always, in your work.

Why, thank you, Squatch and Tobi. I realize this piece is probably not the most comfortable or attractive thing for most people to look at, but such is the nature of my inspired art pieces.

Thought I might slap up a couple accessory close-ups and the final, ultimate revamp for any interested parties that may happen along.

I don't really like digital art that much, but I have to say that you are really good, totally different than what I have seen before, good job.

I'd be really interested to hear why you don't like digital art. To me, a medium is a medium, and should never dictate self expression. It's the 'soul' behind a piece that creates the final product.

That said, my approach to the digital painting process is hardly different from paint, pencil and ink traditional methods I've used before. That might help. Whatever the case, they tend to make nice prints.
