This is my great friend Jim, he was a rear gunner on the Lancaster bomber.

As far as I'm aware, there are only two Lancasters still flying. One is in England, in the county I live in (Lincolnshire). The great thing is I hear it occasionally as it travels to air shows. You can't miss the sound - it's so low and slow. It sounds like it's going to fall out of the sky!

I've been to a few 'Battle of Britain' flights which showcases the Lancaster with two spitfires either side - that's pretty special and gives me goosebumps.

Your paintings are superb and I'm tempted to go into oils as you make it look so easy...

Thank you for sharing that story about the Lancaster Squatchit, I'll let my old friend know what you said he will be tickled pink. Yea I only started to do oils about 2 years ago, only after watching a DVD I sent away for, it was all I needed to get me going, if you ever want me to send you a copy I will, its really good.

hello psychoslice

thank you for sharing your works.
not sure if it is the right thing to say so please forgive me if...but no intention to hurt or anything, just my observation, but you add to whatever topic you paint softness and compassion and i find it beautiful. as if you see one more layer especially to the portraits.
