Spirit guides

Do you believe that when you live your last lifetime as a human, that you might become a spirit guide?

What I believe is what I have read in many places...
there are jobs there...you have a choice what suits you.
Since you are interested in these things...may I point to (free online) Anthony Borgia's, 'Life in the Unseen World''
Anything by Chico Xavier...esp the movie made - "The Astral City: A Spiritual Journey''.
Both mediums with connections to the Other Side.
Much is explained.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I don't hold beliefs about matters spiritual, preferring to be guided by the words of teachers and guides.....

You MIGHT, of course, become a guide to someone incarnate after your last time on earth is over but it's probably less to do with the completion of your journey as an incarnate and more to do with what you're drawn towards doing next.

I read Life in the Unseen World. Was that a deceased person being channeled in the book? It doesnt talk about reincarnation at all, just life in the afterlife.

Hi Aligned, Yes it was an Episc priest that passed over that was friends
while living here with Anthony Borgia.
'Jobs' are mentioned in the story...I thought it was pertinent to your question.
Father Bensen picked a 'job' of helping people cross-over, I think.
(Not your everyday Spirit Guide.)

My God, that's a job I feel deeply called to. I had some really intense experiences involving ego death and someone from the other side came and helped me. Im eternally grateful and want to be able to give back in this way

Idea popped in my head!!!! Why not study and become a Hospice person! Start helping from THIS side!

agreed completely - great suggestion

Service is the key and what's needed here in this dimension is already known whereas what's needed in the role of a spirit guide is not. Suitability for that latter role can be considered at an appropriate time and hospice care would be a helpful addition to one's resume/cv.

I agree with Miss hepburn her sugestion is a good one. but on a spiritual level a Spirit guide is Highly evolved they have had life on the earth plane but there learning is complete.
they continue to learn in the spirit world. so they are able to assist people on the earth plane

Namaste

The books Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton are interesting in this regard. They're written by a hypnotherapist who regressed people to the life-between-life state.

Among other things (it isn't primarily about this), it talks about how souls start "training" to become guides while still incarnating and how the process changes as they evolve.
