I have known of several Mediums that were on a tight schedule and had 'to perform' several times a day. In some areas, that is considered 'normal'.

What is the 'true situation' if a 'Medium' gets 'caught'?

For example, if a Medium, operating thru spirit, has a photo precipitated by spirit and it has a message from a loved one on the other side, what do you say to the recipient of the photo if it turns out the photo didn't come from spirit?

Most of the time I say nothing but if the person is interested in finding out why I might claim it is not 'real', then I will show them.

Wait for the living to cross over and the corpses that are beloved —-mediumship definitely could be popular in this century... loads of things could happen(people are crossing over all the time, seems available that it would be available....

I have wondered about such people, but some here claim that they are genuine mediums. I think you have to look at the individual. You have to look at whose message makes sense to you personally. Does what they are saying "irk" you in some way? This is not them trying to get at you. It is just that way because the message is not real. You also have to look if it's just business for the person. When someone makes huge amounts doing this, that is when I wonder if it's simply for the money...

It's wrong to generalise or to say "...some here claim that they are genuine mediums." That implies you're not believing what they say but what evidence do you have?

There is only one kind of medium and that's the one who provides mediumship. Money is a red herring - a medium is free to charge whatever the medium decides and the client has to decide if it's a fair charge. If not they should go elsewhere.

If there's a charge without any prospect of mediumship then it's cheating but it's a sad fact that even the most experienced of mediums can have a bad night. If they make a charge for their services, however, but then can't provide them....??????

I agree with bobjob but you are being very judgmental about people who are mediums.

I agree with Native spirit.
And I would never in million years expect a medium to take her time with me and not charge, btw.
I have never seen a medium that was not 'right on' either!
A couple right here, that have stopped so can not tell ya who, are simply astoundingly accurate!!!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

What's the old saying? "A workman is worth his salt."

It's up to the practitioner to decide if a charge is justified for what (s)he does and if so what that charge should be. It would be a wonderful world if every medium or healer had a sufficient income for their day-to-day needs and could provide a free service to others and wanted to do just that.

Some are in such a happy situation. Others aren't. Some charge fees that many consider excessive. Others ask just traveling expenses, meals etc that are additional, essential and unavoidable costs they have to meet. Their time preparing, traveling to a venue and then returning home is often forgotten by those who get the benefit of their service. Others turn their gift into a business. NONE is wrong to do what they do - it's up to the individual to decide what's right for her/him individually.

I've been observing mediumship via Zoom in recent months. Some has been accurate and uplifting but some other has been stilted, formulaic and depressing. Know always that psychic reading etc. - no matter how accurate the information coming that way - is NOT mediumship.

Not all psychics are frauds. I know this for a fact. I have met a number of psychics who will tell me of my past lives and will almost always point out the same ones. That has happened far too often. Many times it points to them be real psychics when they do, so it makes whatever they tell me afterward more credible.

However, I have known fake psychics, too. There was one who worked the psychic circuits, shows, etc. I know he was fake because on the way to work one day, he was on my bus talking about how he works as a fake psychic. He didn't realize that we had met. I never had a reading with him but I remembered his name because it sounded like a stage name. It was. He still works as a psychic but I am never going to be a client of his and I steer people away from him.
