I would suggest that 1 manifests as 2 while still remaining 1. 2 does not exist apart from 1, but instead 1 is present throughout 2.

Or Being manifests as Becoming while still remaining Being. Becoming does not exist apart from Being, but instead Being is present throughout Becoming.

Or Formlessness manifests as Form while still remaining Formless. Form does not exist apart from Formlessness, but instead Formlessness is present throughout Form.

So there is always one thing everywhere within which there is the apparent manifestation of multiple things. This does not make existence a duality, because existence is always just one thing everywhere.

Peace

P.S. I hope that you feel better soon.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Does Water become a wave in the sense a wave is made of a different substance than Water? Or does Water sometimes appear in a form we call wave?

Aren't all waves Water and only Water through and through?

So I'm a wave and God is the ocean -so the ocean is in me, makes up my whole self, and I would not exist without the ocean.

From the Advaita path of knowledge (Jnana Yoga) perspective nothing other than God. As Swami Vivekananda said "Everything is not. God alone Is."

Don't feel lonely regarding your question lol. I also have your question but have no answer. I have heard Iamthat's response fragmented in many YouTube videos so it's nice to have it summarized

I’ll go with what iamthat said in #11, adding* (*as ‘seen’) that the one became two when Hirayangarbha (cosmic egg) split. This play is actually enacted within our body, during the kundalini energisation process, which we can witness, if so graced.

The pangs of separation and delight in union is the cosmic dance, as love in love with love, searches for itself.

Ewwerrin: There is nothing more absolute than existence itself. Non existence literally doesnt exist. And if existence is nothing more than a duality of being and becoming, then existence is a duality. And then only duality can exist. Forever. Even beyond time and space. Duality would then be the most absolute reality in and of existence and even as existence itself.
Being appears to Itself as Itself.

Do you ask that question because you separate the spiritual from the physical/nature?

1 becomes 2 (mammals, which include us humans) through birth/procreation. The birthing process or procreation is not separate from brahman/god. The birthing process or procreation is a process, part or aspect of brahman/god. This is how nothing becomes something and everything. Negating things/forms/the physical, negates brahman/god/the divine becoming every form through birth/procreation. Notice how the word creation is in the word procreation?!
