Is God a man-made concept?

Unless we knew beings on other planets and asked them what they experienced, I guess this could be true. It could be a human concept, because we wouldn’t know otherwise.

But I’m quite happy for it to be a concept…and one which I can rely on or dialogue with, on a daily basis.

I have heard people talk about God. I have read whole bunch of writings on God. But I have not anything from the proverbial horse's mouth. This is important to me because, what I read and hear about God is not always consistent and very often contradictory.

Yep Kris I kinda feel a bit like you too! Sometimes I think there is a God and sometimes I think there isn’t. As I’ve said in another thread, the meaning and understand of what God is, is deeply personal and there is no right way and no wrong way, it just is. I also think our brains are probably to primitive to KNOW what God is.
Isn’t it just a personal feeling or experience that someone has had of it, which of course determines what they decide and believe in. Or do they just blindly believe with faith. I personally, will just sit on the fence with that one until I have an experience that convinces me one way or another because
I just can’t have faith in something that I’ve never had an experience of. I respect other peoples opinions of course, because they have just as much right to it as me.
But what I DO feel in my heart is that there must be some intelligent creative source somewhere that is connected to little ol us and this planet. I suppose i feel it’s a bit like Star Wars when they said, The force is with you.
The force being the creative source. But hey that’s just lil ol me and a little feeling I have but whose to say. I think if we remain OPEN and say, I don’t know, then whatever it is will show up when we are ready.

Not that you asked how or anything...BUT, if I may...quoting someone:
