To be precise, The self creates an inflated ego or inflated sense of self or ahamkara to make up for or to cover the self's sense or feeling of being limited, not complete, not whole etc etc. This is true for people whom are a narcissist. A narcissist is on the extreme side of the scale.

The ahamkara-the thing that I invents/creates, that is an illusion that is not true, is the sense or feeling of the self being limited, not complete, not whole etc, when the self is unlimited, and is already complete, and whole.
