Just a reminder that among the vast field of Buddhist teachings and translations this series of seven (so far) books by the Dalai Lama is superior. They are sequenced from introductory to basic to deeper and all are comprehensive, being rooted in traditional scriptures, not opinions:

The Dalai Lama is even more awesome when one meets him in person, as one can feel his delightful energy as I did when I attended one of his lectures in NYC. Unforgettable.
