Finding only endings
There is one song (from the 70's) that says that in this life you find only ends/endings but never beginnings ...
Now I find that an interesting thought....
only endings.... interesting....
And like that we evolve... I would add.
P.S. It doesn't cover the totality of my philosophy but it's pretty interesting

of course if you are going to live this way where you set a life's goal, then you spend your life trying to acheive it, then you sit still and enjoy the fruits of your labors for what time is left, and then you die only to do it all over again later...
of course all there is to get is the very ending you chose at the beginning. because that is what you put your life into? So what else would you get?
And you've also already chosen at the very beginning that there won't be a new beginning when you get there... simply by your attitude that you want to sit around enjoying the fruits of your labors for whatever time is left.
it is like you choose what bed you want to sleep in and then all that is left to do is to actually sleep....
but you are right isn't it amazing that all this seems to be going somewhere despite that kind of reckless attitude toward one's own very beingness???

I think one of the ideas of this quote is that we have inherently the beginning in us...
In a way there is no end to existence (according to the thought I 'm processing), though naturally we are guided to seek an end... and well, this is what we are finding (all of the times)...

If not life, then existence , something we perceive.

..And this is the thing. We die every few decades don't we ? But we are born again, or not , as the case may be.
We are the tree of life. The roots. We are eternal.
But in each lifetime we "die" .

And I experienced that when I was 8...and for a long time, looking all around me...thinking-
"This is all a dream"...stunned.
Now, I add after having the exp again at 23, (no drugs, mind you..and at other times)...
''Everything is a prop like a movie set with 2x4s holding up the Facades of buildings! ---all made of Dreamstuff!"
Other times I would add still more..."Everything is Living and Breathing ...the walls, a rock, the trees ..."
But these are just words to many - gotta exp it for yourself.
