Yes experiment
What if we said YES to everything in our life, to every experience, whether our mind judges it as good or bad.
I wonder how it would affect us, within and without.
What discoveries could we make about our self and our world?
This would mean letting everything be as it is, absolutely everything, including, the mind and its thoughts, all feelings and outer situations, pleasant or unpleasant.
I will commit to saying yes to everything.
Anyone else is welcome to join me and share here our realisations if any.

Yes, it sounds like a good idea. I would imagine much easier said than done. But i feel i've gotten better at this without putting much effort. Reminds me of a quote from the movie Waking Life:
"You know behind the phenomenal difference there is but one story. And that's the story of moving from the "no" to the "yes." All of life is like "no thank you," "no thank you," "no thank you," then ultimately it's "Yes, i give in," "yes, i accept," "yes, i embrace." I mean that's the journey." - Waking Life.

Hi Ocean breeze
I ve never heard of Waking life
And yes you are right much easier said than done. The most difficult thing I find is forgetting I've made the commitment to say yes, to be totally OK with whatever this moment brings.
My premise for this has been a realisation that I have come to a place of trusting the innate wisdom of Life /source etc.. Always bringing to us everything we need to grow and become aware of ourself. Be it pleasant or unpleasant. Can be challenging but let's where it leads.
Nice to "meet" you btw.

Might as well say 'yes' and move on.
'Yes' also puts your dominate foot forward and moves you forward.

I say yes already to things I don't care to do ---apologize, forgive, go
someplace I don't wanna, fixing something now;
yes to listening to boring, negative people I would rather not be around,
yes to exercise now, today 45 min...
Yes to kindness instead of 'something else'.
I'm not gonna say yes to pain or untruths or my weaknesses...or to eat some weird thing
from some country, like crickets, tho.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

I like it! Can't wait to try it out at a restaurant.
"Will you be having the steak or lobster?"
"Yes"
Big John, how about picking up the tab for this?

I am more likely to say no than yes. This gives me time to contemplate.
After all I am a Cynic, I question everything. There is no absolute.
Saying yes to everything on this level of existence feels lime stagnation.
It would be like, there is only light or only dark, this means total stagnation.
No way to move forward.
