Whoa, that red moon over huge red rocks!!
There were cars parked everywhere..I've never seen such a crowd!!
And what a nice night, maybe 65 degrees!
Sorry, don't know celcius.
Then, I saw it at 11 pm still the right hand side in the shadow.
Then, at 6:30am over the Rocky Mountains with a slight haze made
the moon look very cool against the pink peaks being hit with sunrise.

Nice pic, Scarlett. That is a better view than what I got! I was totally tired and wiped out. I couldn't stay up at all. I was hoping to have some energy to play with, something?! I got nothing. I was just depleted, low mood.
MissH: Sounds like your area got the spectacular view. Very lucky

I saw some of it. More interesting than the eclips to me was the electric blue edge/aura??? The moon had about 1:30.
It wasn't just me who could see it either my husband came out for a bit and after I pointed it out he saw it too.
Very pretty night

I went up in the mountains for it with a group of about 30 women, we had a fire, various musical instruments, set intentions for the full moon and during the eclipse part did releasing on any beliefs, habits or situations we not longer wanted to carry within us. Various people brought various techniques from their traditions. It got pretty powerful at totality and again when the moon came out.
It got cloudy about half way into totality and then cleared up and came out bright for our walk back out of the woods.
It was interesting how red the moon got, many women were invoking the name of Kali and it was if the mythology played out in the heavens above us.

i got a lot of pictures last night, but a few hours before the eclipse. full moon seems to draw my attention to itself past few months and i have taken pictures most of the times.
what surprised me was the mobile red round thing (in some pictures it is darker, and as it moves away from the moon it changes shape, like the moon changes shape by the day and then disappears), then the white dots (?orbs) just above the moon which is immobile (but in some it is more kind of denser than in these) and one which moves around with the red circle (this is denser in some pictures too). its not a camera effect as these details are not present in other pictures even in the same direction and at the same time. the white thing in the red circle is sometimes not visible. then there was something else which was moving, almost rainbow colored, to the right (my left) of the moon which changed size with the angle of the camera and then disappeared. the top left hand corner (my right) is an artifact. the whole thing has a pretty dramatic effect in a video form.
i researched red orb initially and it kind of represents anger and such apparently. The red circle didnt have the white dot initially, just one above the moon. Noticed yesterday that the red circle was nearby the moon in some older pictures too.

That's interesting. These "orbs" were mobile?
Here are two that I got. These are cell phone pictures of the screen of my camera. Sorry for the poor quality.

A third one was moving on its own...its size changed a bit with the angle of the camera (why?), and had a rainbow colored tinge to it, i didnt attach the picture of it, but it looked different from the two in the picture. But the white dots inthe red circle moved with the circle itself, and the circle did not move on its own, but did so as the angle of the camera changed (why?). The one just above the moon did not shift.
Those two pics are just amazing llr, and show both the bloodmoon and the lunar eclipse in quite well. The colors of the bloodmoon are like ..i have no words to describe it. Nature and creation...just wow. Dont know about quality but they look like the photographers pictures, perfect. Send them for a competition, if there is any such?

Great pictures! I was out there for a while and it didn't even occur to me to take a picture. I was too mesmerized by the clouds around the moon being so lit up, I should have taken a picture of the blue rim.
Could the orbs have been satalites?

Actually, just checked, the white dot in the red circle seems to move and change position within the circle itself too, but is always within that red circle. but because the camera wasnt kept still, i didnt notice the movement until i compsred the different pictures until now. in addition to relative to the moon with the circle. The one on the moon has a slight shift in its position in different pictures. So most likely not artifacts.
I am not able to make up my mind, the glow, about how i feel about the discoveries in the pictures or as to what they are. I only knew about orbs when someone recently posted some videos here.

No moon gazing for me. Thick clouds and totally overcast. I sat out for hours waiting for it to clear but it never did. So disappointing.
