Moths

Two nights ago i walked into my bedroom, wanted to go to bed when I saw something on the wall.

It was not one but two moths, probably mating. I don´t know how moths do it, lol, but they were on top of each other with their behinds..(maybe a little to much information...but funny they seemed to know it was the bedroom... )

Anyway...i always do find moths a special insect. Normally i see only one, this was a ´special sighting´...

I read they can symbolize death, soul, transformation, rebirth...flying from the dark to the light..

Hi, and despite popular belief , months come in many vibrant and beautiful colours, although granted, commonly we do only usually see the brown ones.
A few examples which I wish I could post a link but if you look them up they are quite stunning.
ELEPHANT HAWKMOTH Is mainly pink.
GARDEN TIGER MOTH Is orange with black and white wings.
JERSEY TIGER MOTH Is yellow and black.
SCARLET TIGER MOTH Is red ,black, orange and White.
CINNABAR MOTH Is mostly red with some black.
SIX SPOT BURNET MOTH Is black with lots of red spots.

The HUMMINGBIRD HAWKMOTH regularly gets confused for a hummingbird because it hovers in front of flowers and collects nectar with its long tubular mouth.

Moths, like butterflies I guess can mean be open to change and new beginnings , the death and rebirth of a new chapter which of course is demonstrated with the caterpillar , the cocoon, and of course the emergence of the moth / butterfly.

And I love the quote
"" Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly ""

Moths were one of the strange things discussed by Don Juan in Castaneda's books, seemed out of place to me , something that didn't seem to fit properly with the philosophy.

Here's someone quoting him on another forum.

"A while a go there was quite a few threads on spiders and now it seems that moths are becoming a bit of a theme......"

Seen a few of the big hawk moths but not in recent years, going to start looking on the patches of rosebay willowherb I pass as the big catterpillars feed on it ,probably too late in the year now though.
