The Lovely Bones: Yes, some uncomfortable scenes in that film, but they represent the contrast in life between light and darkness, good and evil.
That evil eventually destroys itself - as it always does - is one of the messages very vividly portrayed in the film.
For me the hghlight are the beautiful images of the young girl in the afterlife.
Very imaginative and most wonderfully shot.

The Angel's Share
The last movie I saw was this Scottish comedy-drama called The Angel's Share. It was an inspirational story of a young Glaswegian man who was guilty of recidivism, but after the birth of his son realized he had to rise above his criminal and violent tendencies to be there for his partner and his newborn baby.

I re-watched Vanilla Sky tonight for the first time since I watched it in the theater more than a decade ago. Definitely have more of an appreciation for it and interpretation of it now.
