'Is it that in some brighter sphere'

Is it that in some brighter sphere
We part from friends we meet with here?
or do we see the future pass
Over the Present's dusky glass?

Or what is it that makes us seem
To patch up fragments of a dream,
Part of which comes true, and part
Beats and trembles in the heart?

Thanks for both of your replies.....
It's one of many faves.....just as some of your art is Squatchit, esp the faeries in the garden & the castle. Have you ever done art through meditation?

Thank you beansi - that's brightened my morning!

Some of the paintings appear in that inbetween stage of awake/asleep - so whilst it's not strictly meditation per se, I'm being inspired from 'elsewhere'.

You're welcome squatchit!
Does kinda sound meditative & is this art different to what you would normally do? only ask as when i done med art it was very abstract to what i would normally do. in med art found i preferred to use pens, inks, pencils, suppose they were easier to use while meditating. Otherwise i do oil painting, have done pastels. Whose your fave artist? i bet you like the fantasy/graphic artists, i do too!..........

I tend to do abstract anyway - much easier to splodge and let the viewer decide what it is!

I love using pen on top of watercolour when I'm relaxed - hours can go by as I doodle away. I've never tried oils, although I've heard they're easier than watercolour. I'm absolutely pants at pastels - I tend to get most of the pastel everywhere but the paper!

I'm not overkeen on spiritual fantasy art - all those boobs and women warriors are really not my thing. I do like graphic art - and am fascinated by mathematical art, even though I can't add for toffee.

Would love to see some of your doodles, if you're so inclined. Nudge nudge!

Fave artist - hmmmmm. Klee maybe. Or Kandinsky. What about you?
