The Sorrow of the Rose
The Sorrow of the Rose
In the early morning time, if you look closely upon the petals of roses, you will see little glistening tears on some, as the rising sun casts it's weak rays across the valleys... They are from the Sorrow of the Rose - God's own little way of speaking to us... It is said that some might even be his own tears, for each rose represents a life, an energy, a soul... And each rose begins as a tender bud, needing such careful nurturing, so that in the months to come, it will be able to blossom and bloom with all it's flowery heart... Red, yellow, white and so many more wonderful, radiant colours shine forth throughout the gardens and the fields of the Earth... Each rose speaks a lover's kiss, a beloved's heart, or a soul's apology... Each rose knows of it's beauty, and that of it's friends... And each rose knows that one day, it will return to the Earth - that which gave it life... The Sorrow of the Rose is not for itself, but for it's neighbours, it's fellow buds... The Rose cries, for it knows that while it's beauty shines forth into the world, other Roses are fading away, and their beauty soon will never again be kissed by the early morning sun, nor tended to by the bees, or seen by the bluebird... Every little Rose, in every garden, in every field, in every pot, house and boquet, yearns just to shine it's beauty out for all that will see... It seeks naught but to inspire, to heal, to give happiness...
Many souls have wondered why the Roses are sad, but a wise woman once said, "Only in the deepest sorrow, can be forged the greatest beauty... Like the Rose, those of us who have known the sadness of life, whose tender faces have borne the pain of loss, we know the tenderness of human lives, and we seek only to spread great beauty and love throughout the world... The Rose cries not just for it's own, but also for us... Because it is part of God, and it knows, it knows, that we are all the same... That all we wish for too, is to show our beauty to the world, and to save the beauty that lies within each other...."
And so, the silent cries of the Sorrow of the Rose can be heard if you look carefully upon those tender, beautiful petals in the break of day...

Mortality is as fragile as a Rose.

Did you write this story yourself, devolution? If so, more power to you. There is very powerful creativity and imagination in this story, I enjoyed reading it. Very clear photograph too. Really stands out on screen.
Btw, I don't think the counter for the photograph is working as it says there as been no views...

Thanks...I wrote this to my beloved a few weeks ago to cheer her up...
I love to write; sometimes the inspiration is hidden away by the worries of the waking world....
BTW, the counters on here are sometimes slow to update...
