For me there is a distinction between being in a dream state and being “awake”/aware of the state when I am not sleeping or spacing out (so to speak).

It is what is perceived by my mind.

The whole dream like comparison may just be a metaphor for the physical realm being temporary and what is thought is not always the full picture. Some of how I understand it.

Yes, to distinguish one from the other does take a comparison of some kind.

If something “wakes” you up and through this you realized you were asleep, then suppose one would become aware of the difference. In the physical/mental sense as well as having realizations in regards to life itself.

Hey bud,

One has to have this distinction don't they otherwise one can't know what an actual dream is lol . This is why it's so bananas this whole dream belief being the reality experienced of the physical world .

The only reason one knows that they have been dreaming is if the have an awakened comparison of the opposite state .

If there his no opposite state then the only comparison had is a dream within a dream believing one is awake when one is asleep and then what happens from this dreamful state one declares that the reality is a dream ..

It's bonkers .

I have totally picked up in the middle here, however, the other key item missing here is the energetic component. If I know you're kidding, I hardly mind if we swap terms.

Or did you or others already discuss our consciousness, spiritual signature, and other accompanying aspects of our energetic field (intent, thought, emotion, other subtle states, etc.) as indicators that signify our unique and interconnected existence?
