Miss H: hello there!
IMO...
This life is an opportunity to be and do authentic love (that is, both lovingkindness and justice) day-to-day. To heal and reconcile our mutual souls. Our mutual wounds and obstructions perpetrated and received in all prior lives or moments.
The greatest expressions we can manifest include equally
1) turning away from our iniquities which cause untold harm, with a radical clarity and fortitude of purpose...and
2) turning toward authentic love, particularly a mutuality or communal expression of radical repentence, radical alignment with spirit, radical forgiveness, and radical reconciliation in authentic love.
As expressed by Corrie ten Boom, Ette Hillesum, and by the below as practiced by the Hawaiian Native people:
Ho'oponopono
I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
We can make use of our gift of this life by growing and shaping our character. As best we can, we can spread the joy of being :) and bearing the pain by suffusing it with love and bliss...or we can do the opposite of 1) and 2). Whenever the going gets tough, it's up to us to take conscious choices. And in the words of God according to John Voight..."it's supposed to be hard", meaning, we are supposed to struggle with our weaknesses and our iniquity. That's how we forge the mettle of our soul day-by-day.
Peace & blessings
