Sweet subsistence

One Autumn day, I was absorbed in a leaf
the color of a heart
Almost red, and ready to fall down

Spending time and asking it's existence
I realized it as mother and daughter
of the tree combined

Such sweet subsistence!!
Sweet snowfalls followed
My heart entwined

Too purely real to be real
but it was
Sweet subsistence true

And they just asked
if she was real

And I just asked

And you?

Seems we are both in a leafy frame of mind today...:)

This is such a timeless peice, I just love the leaf and tree , daughter and mother. to leave us with the question about our reality had me thinking for a while. well done love it Monk
