Repeated dreams of the same place - Imagination or Memory?
Hi All,
I've had a few people say to me over the time. I keep having this really vivid dream where I'm in this house, or I see this person. I can recall every detail exactly.
So I say to them. Well maybe you have been to that house before, and they say no no no definately no way. So youre having a very detailed dream about the house and its exactly the same each night? Yes they reply.
So I devised a test. In which to draw a picture of something completely out of your imagination and put as much detail into this picture as possible. (not what you have been dreaming about)
Then when you have drawn the picture, put it away and dont look at it again.
The next day, draw the same picture. The day after that, draw the same picture again, and keep repeating.
Then compare the first and last pictures you drew. Exactly the same? I would expect, completely different.
Whereas if you were drawing something from memory. Perhaps a picture of the house you grew up in. You'll find the pictures are very similar.
I've never tried this myself. But just thought it might be an interesting idea to share for those who do keep having repeated dreams, who need some proof that perhaps the brain isnt making it up each night, and in fact this is some kind of memory recall, or even more than that.

Repeat Dreams Worth Noticing
A repeat dream is likely something you are trying to resolve or a message that is trying to come through.
A house in a dream is always us. Where we are in the house makes a difference.
Your mind isn’t making it up. It might be useful to investigate what is the issue being addressed. dreammoods.com has some useful dream definitions.
