bug or glitch?
I receive emailed notifications of new postings in threads I am subscribed to.
I can also find new postings by hitting the 'User CP' tab. But clicking on links provided by both these ways usually takes me to variable points in threads rather than to the latest postings in them.
From there I have to head to the most recent page - Number 1 in my layout but often I land on a random page several numbers away - and then I have to scroll to the top because I often land part way down it.
it's the only website where I encounter this need to faff about. Do other members experience this or am I doing something wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong in it. I've also experienced this sometimes but have ignored it because i find it only a small issue. If you like, in User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options -> Number of Posts to Show Per Page -> u can select the max number (40) -> Save Changes. This way probability of needing to jump page will be less as there will be less no. of pages  |

I know I'm not doing anything 'wrong'. I've been using websites like this and also many others for donkey's years. I've set and re-set all manner of CP settings here but nothing changes the issue I mentioned. This is the only website out of many I've used over the years that constantly displays this bug. |

I doubt most users would be able to help and if it is a software bug then only the technicians would be able to resolve the issue. I'm not particularly bothered as I know work-arounds for the nuisance although they can be tedious and long-winded but I'm retired and time is not in short supply for this old fart.  |
