"New" medication for diabetes

I have been injecting Insulin for just over 2 years and my blood sugar is rock-stable. Problem ? - weight gain. So, I am about to start a new treatment. The Insulin is halved and is the long-acting variety. To this is added a new [to me] drug [ Exenatide ]. It is an enzyme which boots the pancreas - very small dose [ 5 micro-gram x 2 daily ] One of the potential side-effects is WEIGHT LOSS. Will let you know what happens.

Hey norsie. I hope it works out, too. I'm still around. I've been thinking seriously about getting the HCG injections at a nearby weight loss clinic..

Hi SG. I have given up the gym. After 2 years, 4 days a week - no weight loss. Mind, I now look like the Incredible Hulk with a beer-belly
I grilled the Diabetic Consultant at the hospital and he agreed that my type of weight gain does not respond to exercise. I think I will keep my stash of Insulin in the fridge a while longer - see how it pans out first.

My wife and I have both had issues with diabetes and we're addressing it quite nicely without the use of insulin... unless you're a type 1 diabetic then insulin is a scam... Get rid of the grains, look into paleo, or if you want to go vegetarian/vegan look-up Gabriel Cousens!

And watch the process at work in this film:
Reversing diabetes in 30 days
http://vimeo.com/25368327

My wife taught the medical version of addressing diabetes to low income patients as a nurse for a couple of years... she knows what they're teaching... she's now horrified by what she was being told to tell others...

Addressing diabetes requires life-style changes... not drugs... It's a low carb affair... not chemical patches...

I hate to say this but most medically trained Consultants in relation to most diseases, including diabetes, may in their heart's be well-meaning, but they're essentially trained to be lap-dogs for the pharmaceutical interests.

They know very well, as to how to make us sick, and have little to no clue as to what it takes to "cure" us, or to essentially keep us healthy in the first place...

But we can't totally blame them for all of this... most folks have grown addicted to really bad foods! And they'd rather die than change their trajectory... so even if the doctor or consultant knew ~exactly~ what to do to make a person live long and prosper, the individuals themselves wouldn't likely follow such advice, if it meant them having to give-up their candy....

So what is it with people?

People will be led down the isle of the most obvious dysfunctional medical assertions, each convinced that they're haplessly intelligent for doing so. Doing so clearly isn't working. Then you get the pink ribbon thing for women with cancer, in the mean time the industry is killing women with their "treatment of cancer" by the droves... But everyone hugs each other, and call that spiritual, they call that caring, people just keep getting sicker in the hands of this system and at the same time play their utmost at being spiritually composed.... this just strikes me as crazy...

And yet Stephen, I rely on a blend of Western and Eastern medical practices and, here I am 12 years longer than I was supposed to live. Reasons - stopping smoking + complex heart surgery AND meditation daily plus a lot of strolling in beautiful wild country.
p.s. even doctors rate my diet as excellent [Japanese style]
