very strange dream when my dog was dying

I tend to have some odd dreams and it happens often, so I never know if it is just another one of my crazy dreams or if it is something more.

This happened four years ago, and I did share it with one person but I don't think they really thought it was anything more than just one of my weird dreams.

My dog was very ill, I was told by the vets she was not in any pain, but we knew she was going to be leaving soon. She was 16, and had been with me since she was 6 weeks old. One or two nights before she passed away, I had a very vivid dream of a huge snake, and in this dream the snake started shedding his skin only to reveal this rainbow of bright colors. There was also a bright light that accompanied this rainbow of colors.

I have always remembered this dream, and feel like it was trying to tell me something, and I wish I knew what the message was.

Oddly, shortly after my dog passed away (she died in my arms very peacefully at home on her own), I had a dream that she died, and I rushed her to the vet. Once we got to the vet, she woke up/came back to life, and was totally fine. I was so happy she was alive, and she looked so healthy, but then I woke up and realized she really was gone, and that was just a dream.

I feel like the snake dream was about kundalini. Snakes can represent many things, kundalini being one. Rainbows always make me think of God.

Naturally the second dream was about your dogs reincarnation

Thank you, QT Pie. I too think of God when I see a rainbow. I will have to look up and learn more about kundalini.

I did wonder if maybe the second dream was telling me that she was alive and well again, but I must admit that when I woke up and realized it was just a dream, I did feel sad. The dream felt so real.

Normally I would probably not give too much thought to these dreams since I tend to have crazy dreams very often, but since they happened right around her passing, they might have been giving me a message.

Speaking of rainbows, I just remembered that a day after she passed away I was feeling very depressed and didn't even want to leave my house. For some reason though I got the urge to go out and get a cup of coffee. I took my other 2 dogs along for the drive, and as we were approaching the coffee shop, I look ahead and there was this beautiful double rainbow in the sky.

In Ezekiel when he has a vision of God he describes his aura as being a rainbow. Which is where I get this association. Plus it makes sense to me that God would exhibit and have all auric fields.

Your beloved is not only alive and well but these dreams are a product of how close your souls were. Your relationship was blessed of God. You were brought to one another for your mutual growth. (as we all are) but this connection was not happenstance. God would not put his pure energy into speaking to you in this way if the whole situation was not directly connected to his will from the beginning. Your beloved's passing must have been particularly difficult for you. We rely so heavily on these blessed connections and his presence in and around that time speaks to his understanding and approval of the work you did with one another. He wanted you to know your friend is okay. And you are both better for having spent the time.

You were quite correct in sensing these are not typical dreams even for a visionary dreamer. These were direct communications from the highest.

A dream of your own personal Transformation. Showing and seeing your own colors within. Same with the dog coming back to life, is your own personal transformation. Your rebirth.

We were very close, and I miss her, but the thought of her being alive and well and thought of seeing her one day again brings me comfort. Your post has also brought me comfort today. Thank you.

I have had other dreams of loved ones and I have been told that sometimes loved ones do visit us in our dreams, which I wold love for it to be true.

That is another way to interpret it as well, yes. Thank you.
