Nor in my opinion.
Revelation was written almost 7 decades after Jesus' death.
Some claim it was written by Saint (Apostle) John and others claim by somebody else.

My interpretation of the story in Genesis is that one ought not try to be God other wise one will know death and it is temptation which leads us to call ourselves God.

Revelation was given in symbols. What we read has to be decoded. Many have tried.... maybe somebody got it right, who knows.
Without knowing what it means, it up to anybody's guess.
But then.... we do have Jesus' words which tell a completely different story.
As for Revelation, Revelation almost did not make it in to the Bible.

And because of that, I will keep it very basic.
All teachings, and I mean all, have been influenced by those forces that have controlled this planet for thousands if not tenth of thousands of years. And not one of them is in it's original form. The meddling of the dark is very plain to see.
The truth is darker than most could imagine.
But on the positive side, all AI installations that controlled the earth population, was mood altering, fear inducing, prevented ascension from this level, as well as manifestations from ascended masters and the like, on this level, has been removed including those entities that were in control of those installations.
In regards to those biblical and other metaphors :
Those people who came up with those metaphors must have thought:
