Avoiding to learn about the "The Rice Seedling Sutra" generally leaves a person 'empty' in that of understanding a major Buddhist doctrine, that being, Dependent Arising.
As that Suttra expresses, at its opening, Maitreya's word to Śāriputra, Buddha's first disciple, "Reverend Śāriputra, the Blessed one, the Lord of Dharma, the Omniscient One, said "Monks, he who see dependent arising sees the Dharma; he who sees the Dharma sees the Buddha."

First you need open.
Is ignorance and desire the root of suffering?
How to overcome anger greed or judgement?
Send thoughts to them, that's it

The "The Rice Seedling Sutra" is so adept to the true essence of this thread's core discussion: the Buddhas of the past, the Buddha of the present and the Buddha of the future.
The "The Rice Seedling Sutra" is about a discussion the Buddha of the Future, Maitrya, had with Śāriputra about multiple causes and conditions along with other points of interest. Maitreya iterated this discussion based on a discourse he and others had heard from Gautama Buddha.
I find it interesting how the Buddhas of the past and the Buddha of the future, Maitreya, had interactions with Gautama Buddha either in that life time's form or in previous forms.

Shakyamuni Triad
The "The Rice Seedling Sutra" explains one of Buddha's core teachings: dependent arising.
The Sutra begins with the expression "Homage to all the Buddhas and bodhisatrvas!" which resonates with this thread: INFO ON PREVIOUS BUDDHAS.
The word Buddhas speaks for itself. What is more interesting is that it is Maitreya that relates to the others what the Blessed One had already discussed.
On a different note:
█ Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Maitreya
█ Bodhisattva Samantabhadra
█ and Siddhārtha Gautama
form the Triad called the Shakyamuni Triad.
As for Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Maitreya, he waits in Tusita Heaven. He is generally known as the Buddha of the Future.

The Rice Seeding Sutra concludes with humans, gods, asuras and gandharvas rejoicing and giving praise to Maitreya for his explanations. I find it interesting that this important sutra concludes with mentioning gods, etc. that many believe to be part of the Supernatural realm.
This information only reinforces the belief in the other Buddhas being mentioned on this thread which revolves around a considerable amount of the Supernatural.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama even acknowledges Maitreya as mentioned in this text: https://www.dalailama.com/news/2018/...seedling-sutra
