Roman Gods were known for their ego.
It may be true that pure God is free of ego. But unfortunately many Gods are not. Just think of all the Roman or Greek Gods and how egotistical they were. Ares (Mars) and Aphrodite (Venus) anybody? Or a Roman Caesar declaring "I Am God"...
So I have learnt caution - in the spirit world I have encountered Gods who were definitely not ego free. It came to conflict. Jesus protected me, as well as my own spiritual understanding.
Much of the spirit world I sense around me is dark and egotistical. There is a big difference between God and a God. Beings like Jesus and Krishna strike me as being Gods rather than God Himself at times.
We have a lot to learn.
