When Facing Hard Times In Life

We all do go through tough times. It doesn't mean God has abandoned us. Maybe that is your test of faith like that of Abraham. So never give up on God and never cease to pray.

"Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer" (Romans 12:12)

Thank you very much for these words. Not for nothing the faith is said to move mountains. What is the story of Abraham about? What did you mean by test of faith? Could you please tell it to me in your own words or point me to a passage in the Bible?

All love and good

Nice comments.

As a side note, I look at Affirmations to be Prayers.

Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

It seems to me that when it comes down to it, that is a pretty fair description for how many a human life is lived, whether or not they have read Romans.

Reminds me of another quote.
"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." Henry David Thoreau

Or perhaps all things are eternal, just not to you or me.
Of depending on how it is looked at, you and I are eternal.
