One thing to keep in mind is it's not the consciousness we perceive as being local. It's the illumination of that perception of local consciousness.
I'm not a big fan of Sadhguru but he said something that helped me and that is to open a small space between mind and Consciousness, and I was able to relate that to the experience of deep and effortless meditation. |

Indeed. Which is why I draw a distinction between consciousness (with a small 'c') and Consciousness (with a capital 'C').
And I suppose we could also talk about an even greater Consciousness as CONSCIOUSNESS.
It would be helpful if the English language had different words for these different states. Never mind.

Yup. I would define consciousness (with a small 'c') as Ahamkara's appropriation of Consciousness (with a capital 'C') as its own. I am conscious vs. I Am Consciousness itself. |

The soul is personification of the Spirit which is one, in all of us. And the souls are numerous, maybe innumerable. The reason for all our conflicts is not the difference of our souls, but the unconsciousness about our equality in the Spirit. The consciousness about our Unity will make the difference something most beautuful, because we can realize that we can only learn from each other. That is an enlightenment.
One more hint - We don't have souls. We are the souls. We have bodies. Use them! (The souls)  |
