A medium is a bridge between worlds. The living, and the deceased, and the non-corporeal who haven't taken human life.
So a medium can connect to a loved one, an angel, a guide, an ascended master.
However, that also depends on the vibration and connection of said medium. Not all mediums connect to angel's/guides, and only connect to loved ones in spirit. Not all connect to love ones in spirit, and can only connect to earth bound spirits.

Some mediums will connect to someone's loved one in spirit. Some mediums may connect to angelic beings. Other mediums connect with their guide(s) or maybe a so-called ascended master.
It's unclear how many mediums can connect with ALL of the above though.

That's why I said, it depends on the vibration and well, development of the medium and if they are a clear and open channel that allows more to flow through them. Same can be said for an energy healer.

Guides and Angels are of such High Vibrations the only way you can connect to them, is by them lowering their vibrations and the medium higher ing hers so they meet in the middle
