Many of us, I for one, would gladly donate on a regular periodic basis but we, I in particular, need a reminder once in a while. I would suggest the owner publish something like a site financial statement every once in a while to help remind us of the need.

I see things differently.

The website owner might not mind publishing financial details but I consider it rather intrusive. This website isn't a business, after all, and she hasn't asked for donations to run it.

My response is that those wanting to make periodic donations should set up personal reminders. Smart phones, computers and tablets all have such utilities. Or one could just pencil it on a calendar.

To me that's a very acceptable request and perhaps ought to be displayed somewhere prominent. And I still think it would be nice to have an acknowledgement page for donors.

@ bobjob ... maybe you are right but for those who are not in a position to contribute, it kind of puts some pressure on them ... I’ll leave this to you and the admins to figure out since you all have more experience with running forums.
