Bought my first moldavite, suspecting rhat it may be fake

Not feeling any energy could mean it's not the stone for you right now. I purchased a tumbled moonstone several weeks ago bc I liked the look and its properties. I picked it up and felt nothing but I figured I would grow into it at some point. I have had it for over a month and still, I have not connected with it. I do prefer raw crystals and so far all the crystals I had i have felt something when I picked it up. It was a learning lesson for me. So perhaps you just don't need it right this moment.

I also wanted to add, one time I went looking for crystals and saw Tiger Eyes. I picked up one and got a bit of energy but not much, I picked up another and the energy rushed to my head! It was strange to me that the same two crystals gave me very different reactions.

Great! Enjoy your moldavite. It’s a beautiful piece.

Re the jewelers magnifying glass … I mean such an inexpensive foldable one. Just to have a look within the moldavite.

Especially with a piece like yours, thin and transparent, you’ll be surprised to see what’s going on in there.
