What Is Your Theme Song?
What song(s) sums up your life at the moment and why?
It is tricky for me to just pick one, as my mood shifts from day to day. However, I would have to pick "Come Clean" by Hilary Duff. This song makes me feel that I am free and cleared of all negativity!
Lyrics: Let's go back
Back to the beginning
Back to when the earth, the sun, the stars all aligned
'Cause perfect didn't feel so perfect
Trying to fit a square into a circle
was my life
I defy
[Chorus:]
Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean
I'm shedding
Shedding every color
Trying to find a pigment of truth
Beneath my skin
'Cause different
Doesn't feel so different
And going out is better
Then always staying in
Feel the wind
[Chorus]
I'm coming clean
Let the rain fall
Let the rain fall
I'm coming...
[Chorus x2]
Let's go back
Back to the beginning

I don't have any at the moment...though, I feel I might eventually be nearing the end of my never-ending last one, which was "Where Do I Go" by Kathy Phillips. It sort of doesn't count any more in my opinion, though, as it merely reflects upon where I'm coming from.

I can't think of the title, but the lyrics go like this:
Live your life however
You want to, do whatever
You want to and you'll never die.
You can do whatever
You want to do, whatever
You want to do, and you can try.
[Chorus]
And you know who your friends are,
By looking in their eyes.
You know so you smile,
But they never realize
What goes on inside
Every me and you
Keeps on a rollin on,
Keeps on a rollin on.
Life just lasts a second,
You don't have time to reckon
The things that people say and do.
Try to find your secrets,
Death is just a sequence
To be one day going through.
[repeat chorus]
If you can love than you can
Live forever, you can
Live forever if you love.
Yeah just be a giver
And help to co-deliver
Take something less for something more
[repeat chorus]

In the End by snow patrol
"In The End"
It's the price I guess
For the lies I've told
That the truth it no longer thrills me
And why can't we laugh?
When it's all we have
Have we put these childish things away?
Have we lost the magic that we once had?
[Chorus:]
In the end, In the end
There's nothing more to life than love is there?
In the end, In the end
It's time for us to lose our weary minds
Will you dance with me?
Like we used to dance
And remember how to move together
You are the torch
And it all makes sense
I've waited here for you forever
I've waited here for you forever
[Chorus]
We're lost 'til we learn how to ask
So please please just ask
[Chorus]

Disturbed - "I'm Alive"
Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBA_M87mm0M
Lyrics:
"I'm Alive"
Never again will I be dishonored
And never again will I be reminded
Of living within the world of the jaded
They kill inspiration
It's my obligation
To never again, allow this to happen
Where do I begin?
The choices are endless
Denying the sin
My art, my redemption
I carry the torch of my fathers before me
The thing I treasure most in life cannot be taken away
There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice
To change myself, I'd rather die
Though they will not understand
I won't make the greatest sacrifice
You can't predict where the outcome lies
You'll never take me alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
Change again, cannot be considered
I rage again, dispelling my anger
Where do I begin?
The choices are endless
My art, my redemption, my only salvation
I carry the gift that I have been blessed with
My soul is adrift in oceans of madness
Repairing the rift that you have created
I am not alone, brothers, give me your arms now
The thing I treasure most in life cannot be taken away
There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice
To change myself, I'd rather die
Though they will not understand
I won't make the greatest sacrifice
You can't predict where the outcome lies
You'll never take me alive
I'm no slave
Are you feeling brave?
Or have you gone out of your mind?
No more games
It won't feel the same
If I hold my anger inside
There's no meaning
My soul is bleeding
I've had enough of your kind
One suggestion, use your discretion
Before you label me blind
The thing I treasure most in life cannot be taken away
There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice
To change myself, I'd rather die
Though they will not understand
I won't make the greatest sacrifice
You can't predict where the outcome lies
You'll never take me alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive

Sting - Mad about you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDvkOwmE2ZU
I get into the lyrics, but I remember one day ...it was an intense day...and that song was playing and I remember thinking the music feels like the soundtrack to my life.
But so does this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t98LWNwUhI To Kill a Mockingbird theme - Elmer Bernstein
I've cried to this melody since the first time I heard it as a kid and it's one of those tunes that just stays and haunts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VscVP_Gt_s Is that all there is - Peggy Lee ...this one I remember I was a young child and dealing with depression and this lumber yard caught fire and it lit up the sky for miles. My dad woke us up and took us to see it. I was bored and this song came on the radio and it was the first time I heard it....I thought what an awful song, but yet it always stuck with me. :-/

It's hard to pick "just" one song, but if I have to I would say "Shpongle - Invisible Man In A Fluorescent Suit"
The very title of it is a perfect description of me. Everybody notices me... but no one sees the real me :(

I know it's really cheezy, but I would have to say, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor!
