Lower realms, drained or not?

I suspect that I have experienced, different episodes, that I somehow in my sleep, in my dreams, have wandered off, somehow, into what I would think could be the lower realms.

At times there I have felt drained. I never know what my purpose would be to go, be there. I become aware and that is shortly there after I wake to.

Is it natural to feel drained or do I feel it because I at other times in awaked state feel as i I feel energies?

to someone who had excess energy, losing track of it would feel 'draining'. Most people think that automatically means such a state is 'bad' without considering that having excess energy might have a comparison to eating too much sugar!

For a period in my life it was as if there was a spirit that would show up in my dreams, in me doing meditation and in real life. I felt it was a he and would see him mostly in these states. A medium who I had not spoken to about any of this saw him and felt he would drain you. I don't know how that works. I understand that some from the lower realms like to put on a scare so that their victim's fear is then food, energy, to them. I was not afraid of him at first, that only came to be later on. I was especially vulnerable to the draining part. The medium had experienced he could get hostile but that he was not hostile towards me. We did some things to try to make him move along. I have not felt, experienced him since. I have my theories but til this day I don't know who he was.
