Where I live.......

We get dust storms, normally to the North or to the East. Sometimes, they get so bad the Government shuts down some of the roads, even the major roads.

If you go North of where I live, you can go up in to the mountains, and if you know where to look, you can look southward and see the land across the border..... Mexico.

  The past is so galvanized
         into my memory
      it is as if I have been
              reliving it
   and claiming it as my own.

     Where they simple days
    or is that what I imagined
        as I paddle my way
          upstream to the
            source of life.

          Always paddling
           or am I flowing
        further downstream
          with the current?


            Who knows?

  With my feet dangling
         over the rim,
           I carefully
         lean forward
    to see how far down.

        The cool breeze
           from below
       comforts my face
             as a Hawk
          glides silently
           down below.

      Life is so precious
       and spontaneous
            that it is a
        choice we made
            to be here
         as we continue
           our journey.

Nice stuff BigJohn.
I like your flow and each rambling resonates true Life.
As in you have Lived it felt it and breathed it in.
Which now your exhaling it with your own Heart stamp.

                            Everybody loves the Temple mouse.


      


                                  Living in your own World
                                      devoid of animosity
                                      you search out the
                                      crumbs left behind.

                                      Even the foot steps
                                       do not bother you
                                        as a bowl of food
                                          is sit down for
                                             you to eat.



                                  Life as a Temple mouse

                         When you see a pair of these chaps
                                outside a Temple, you know
                  something special inside, waits your attention.


                

                                   The moment's silence
                                            is broken
                                      when approaching
                                          the Temple.


                                         Was this me
                                        in a past-life?
                                  Protecting the Temple
                                   from all adversaries.

    Shortness of breath
   causes me to wonder
     how simple things
            use to be.

  Leaning over the bank,
      I used to watch
       the water flow,
      with much vigor,
    over the waterfalls,
     only to disappear
   further downstream
       in to a cavern.

           Even then,
     life held mysteries.
        If you listened,
         ever so quiet,
        you could hear
      the water flowing
              below.


The joys of memories.....

       Time surely stops for no one
    but it becomes more interesting
                as we look back.

          The more we look back,
    the more we get to understand
               those little things.

      As the wind howls
 and the thunder clappers,
      everyone is inside
waiting for the morning rays
 which wakes everybody up
 as if nothing had happened.

    The stillness returns
          as we see the
    singular feather.....
