Hello everyone,
I have a blog on City-Data forum for anyone who is interested in my direct spiritual experience over decades, titled 'Spiritual truth from....'

At 78 I may be older than anyone here??

There is a Freudian view that any discussion forum actually and ironically serves to avoid basic truths by extended intellectual circumlocutions or perambulations, the truth being simple but possibly painful.

Similarly, anyone who knows the truth does not write books or engage in discussions about it, they are content with what they know.
Does anyone relate to these thoughts?

Hi David,
I'm a newbie here too, although I was a member of the forum years ago and have just recently returned. I can relate to your reference that "...any discussion forum actually and ironically serves to avoid basic truths by extended intellectual circumlocutions or perambulations, the truth being simple but possibly painful," as that has sometimes been my experience. I don't think discussion in and of itself is without merit, but I do listen for "beginner's mind" and an attitude of humility, as coming from a place of curiosity always seems to be more helpful to anyone seeking or sharing knowledge of any kind, don't you think?

I do relate, I deeply think discussion is futile, yet I'm an optimist and will never stop trying, so can relate in a way.

Yes,I have concluded that if I am happy with my own proof thats good enough for me,a lot of the mainstream ignores facts and this suits as it keeps (often pointless discussion churning over,answers don't make much profit as they will end speculation)

Hi Podshell,
you have touched upon an important point! It is about money...from radio or TV shows and books/magazines that need content.
If anyone says 'God exists' (because they KNOW) there is no content.
From my perspective I wish others knew what I know, but there is no way I can make that happen: others have to travel their own path however long it takes them.

i halfway don't want people to know what I know. Any time I let people in my life I'm always sorry. So far this time I've shared if topics come out but haven't really pushed anything... we'll see if I continue with that I guess....

DC-It causes many problems too as stories can be created by stirring things up,the press do it big time with the royals and other celebs.I am surprised the press still get away with pretending they are looking for answers and they have caused many problems for many people.
